I'm originally from California. I have a big family back there all alive and well. Mom & Dad are both medical professionals, as are most of the rest of my family. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. My younger brother is completely apathetic. My older brother and sister have both battled with drug addiction. My older brother is a disappointment, bouncing in and out of jail since age 15 and a dead beat dad to boot. My sister is a better story, she's since recovered and has had her live on a positive path for 5 years now. My father is extremely intelligent, but is emotionally constipated. Mom is in full swing of a midlife crisis (too long of a story).
I like to keep an open mind. A lot of what we do as humans is immediately pick out something about a person that makes us different and the list grows from there. So what if they have piercings and tattoos, they might have a story to tell, need a shoulder to cry on, or just like to wear their crazy on the outside rather than bottled up on the inside. I like to start fresh with each person I meet; give an opportunity to let me know what their about.
