I believe that it is not the hand we are dealt with how we Play it. I did not ask for the family that I had to walk away from. I believe that the way people treat you determines whether they become your familyfamily. I think we all deserve love and belonging . family is something that I have always wanted and I do have a child who is my family. My biological mother and father I cannot relate to I think knowledge is power and I am choosing to walk away and stand on my own and have for sometime . I did have three siblings but I can only vaguely relate to one of them and that's not a strong relation . Mostly because they have not educated themselves enough to realize they have to get away in order to be everything that they were meant to be. I feel like the fact that I have lacked a family of my own in terms of parents siblings and grandparents that it is invited a lot of unwelcome to things into my life . Neither of my parents has ever taking an active role or showed a level of concern or caring for me but I have learned to care for myself and I do not fault them and I am thankful for the experience, now I am looking to grow and develop myself further and potentially build me a new family. I believe that it is important to invite the good into your life but it is also important to keep the bad out. I know there have to be a lot of people like me that with experience education and growing have either opted out of their current family or are looking for someone not to complete them but to grow with. I am very much looking forward to the opportunity and I was thrilled to find this site. I do not relate to the mindset that I came from and I am looking for my people.
