I am an ESL lecturer working at a university in South Korea. I am originally from San Diego, California. I have a loving family in the U.S. — a mother, father, sister, and extended family in various locations.

I find myself longing for more family connections while abroad, and although I have a wonderful expatriate "family circle" in Korea, it would be great to expand — I'd especially like to be in a mentor or maternal role, although I'd welcome a grandmotherly figure in my life, too. Even though I am surrounded by good people, I am sometimes lonely while living abroad, and have been single for awhile; also not able to fly to my home country as often as I'd like.

I was married at one time, but never had children.
