Hi! I’m Linda and I’ll be turning 50 this year. I have a wonderful adult daughter, two brothers and parents that I love very much, and I feel fortunate to have.
I’m very loyal and I’m a good friend to those I love. I do have some close lifelong friendships with people that I consider to be members of my chosen family. I have two “adopted” sisters, one I’ve known for over 45 years, another I’ve known for over 25 years. I also have some other friendships that I feel very blessed to have. Just over a year ago I moved halfway across the country to east Texas (piney woods), so we keep in touch over the phone and online. My daughter is off at an out-of-state university, and thankfully we keep in touch regularly as well.
I had an adopted grandmother-type who I adored for years, but she passed away at 83 years old. I miss her. I miss having time with her to talk and I miss her advice. She didn’t pull any punches and she saw through all my excuses. I also had a wonderful father-figure for over 10 years, who mentored and encouraged me. He always gave me good advice and we genuinely had a family-love for each other. I miss him a lot too.
I have a lot more interests than what is listed here. I love computers, video games, animals (especially dogs), and learning languages just to name a few. I would love to have more good people in my life, especially here in Texas. People to talk to, listen to, look out for each others best interests… and maybe even go see a movie, grab lunch, or go shopping. 🙂
P.S. While I am open to having platonic friendships with men (and I do have some good male friends in my life), I’m in a committed relationship and I’m not here looking for a spouse or a date.
