Interested in more grandparenting/parenting relationships

My husband and I are in our late 60s/early 70s, with a preteen grandchild we’re close to who is rapidly aging out of needing as much time with us 🙂
We’re a writer/editor and writer/college teacher in our work, politically left, LGBTQ-supportive. We’ve spent time with our grandchild reading aloud, playing games, listening to music, watching (good?) tv and movies, playing games, cooking, going to the playground, and biking and swimming. We don’t believe in discipline or punishment. (Only brief time-outs if a child is having a meltdown.) Because of covid, we would need to limit friendships with parents and children to outdoor interactions, or to babies/younger kids who are not yet in daycare or school, and whose household members are also covid-cautious.
