Shells

I'm the only one in my family who seems to care about living life in the straight and narrow. My mother suffers from depression my brother suffers from depression both have diseases that could potentially be fatal. My step father is schizophrenic. My sister has cerebral palsy and mental retardation and lives in a group home because all of them were homeless and neglecting her so the state took her. I come from a destructive unstructured depressed family I was abused physically and mentally. I left at 17 and never returned back home. They often shame me for having a family of my own and living a descent life. I feel so sad when I see other people families get together because family stops with my 2 children and husband as far as the drama. I love my mother so much and have tried to help her numerous times. But it just doesn't work. I have only seen my brother with one girl she died in the 90's he's been in an out of prison and I have not seen him with another woman since. So I'm the baby of the family and the only one with kids. They don't spend time with my kids at all. No relationship with cousins aunts uncles…I don't know what it's like to have a support system. Iam 33yrs old
