I have a husband and two children. My husband had a falling-out with his abusive family several years ago, and now I have had a falling-out with my parents over the fact that they hate my husband for no good reason. Which leaves my children with no grandparents and my husband and I with no family at all to rely on. The ironic thing is that we are both very much into the idea of family, it's just that ours happen to be terrible people.
