Lana

Hi friends! I’m Lana, a New York City-based writer and (semi-retired) filmmaker. I’m at a crossroads in my life, and I feel like it’s time for a change. I’d love to make some new personal connections here, and—hopefully—forge meaningful, lasting friendships and relationships.

A little about me: I love to have adventures and go exploring with people, but because most of my friends have moved away or started their own families, I don’t have much opportunity for that anymore. If you feel like the excitement has gone out of your life, and you’re looking for someone who can make things interesting, I’m your guy! Maybe you, too, don’t have anyone who’ll go hiking with you, or visit amusement parks just for the fun of it, or drop everything and go on a wild cross-country road trip, or go biking around New York City with you at midnight (yes, I have done the latter, and it’s amazing).

I’m open to any age, race, gender, sexuality, ability, etc., just so long as you’re looking for adventure. I’m great with kids, seeing as I have the tastes of a twelve-year-old, and I love ALL animals! Except mosquitoes. If I see a mosquito, it’s on sight.

As much as I love to go wilding in the wilderness, I can also be a First Class Couch Potato. Do you need someone to share your movie night? Have cozy work parties with in the afternoon? Go for a long, peaceful drive with no destination in mind? Just veg out and talk about the people you hate? I enjoy all these things, too!

Now for a few caveats: I’m neurospicy with a morbid sense of humor. I’m obsessed with all things fantasy and magic-related. I love dragons, and if you get me started on the topic, you will never shut me up. I have an adopted rescue snake named Medusa, and I love her to pieces. If we hang out, chances are you’ll meet her at some point, but don’t worry! She’s the sweetest, most tolerant, most adorable scale baby you’ll ever meet. Last but not least, I admit I’m a little unhinged at times, because I can’t often distinguish between “having an adventure” and “doing something stupid/dangerous”. You can’t really fault me, though, because the dangerous things are often the most fun!

Anyway, if I haven’t scared you off yet, that probably means we’ll get along like a house on fire! I believe there’s more to life than what I’m currently experiencing, and I’d love to find other people to share the adventure with.
